ABOUT ME
In 1989, a young girl walked out of a movie theater KNOWING what she wanted to do with her life. She wanted to be the voice of The Little Mermaid. Of course, since the movie she had just seen happened to be The Little Mermaid, she was also happy to settle for any other Disney Princess that might eventually be offered to her.
Cut to a few decades later and that girl would still happily voice an evil queen or sidekick as well.
That girl is me… Susan Todd. I am a San Francisco Bay Area based voice actor, improvisor and singer.
I have lent my voice to a variety of projects: training modules, travel videos, product releases, Kickstarter videos, real estate commercials, conferences, IVR (the friendly voice telling you what extension to dial), and even children’s books. I am still eagerly waiting on that call from Disney.
I’ve studied with some of the best in the biz: Samantha Paris, Thom Pinto, Dave Fennoy, Bob Bergen, Brian Sommer, Tasia Valenza, Ned Lott and many more. My VO haven is Voicetrax in Sausalito Ca.
My improv home is Leela in San Francisco, CA. There I have studied Long Form and Musical improv. I have performed long form with The Professionals: Mockumentaries on Demand, and musical with Looking For Treble.
I’ve been singing on one stage or another since I was 3-years-old. I am a lyric soprano with a 2 and a half octave range. My voice is warm, powerful and dynamic. Singing styles range from Operatic to Pop to Contemporary Folk and everything in between.
